Welcome! I cannot feel anything other than blessed to be able to be living in sync with my passion for photography, one that has been with me for nearly 30 years. While raising my two amazing children in Asheville, NC, I spent many years serving families in the area in the role of midwife. During that time, I was no less than honored to watch women become mothers and families grow. These moments only reinforced to me how very special every moment in life is. It is with that appreciation that I was led to tell the stories of real life and all of its vulnerabilities and beauty through images. I am so grateful to be able to share my time with my camera telling the stories of others through photographs. When I’m not behind the camera, I can be found spending time with my kids (they’re teenagers so I enjoy every moment I can get), riding my bike anywhere but on the crazy streets of this town, kayaking on the French Broad river likely with a cold beer in hand, throwing the ball in seemingly endless fashion in order to wear out our dogs. And when lucky, I’m off traveling to places far and near while pretending to be Anthony Bourdain (for whom I will always carry mad respect for his unfiltered honesty that he shared when he was here).
